Introducing Journeys: QR-Powered Cans That Measure Every Zone
Today we launch Journeys by We Can It, the platform that maps every branded can to a zone of your venue, shows every scan live and lets you ask your AI how the activation is going. Here is why we built it and how it works.

Picture the last event you sponsored or hosted. The cooler is full of cans with your logo on them. Guests grab one at the entrance, another by the pool, one more at the VIP lounge. Every single can gets picked up.
And then?
For years, that is where the story ended. The can left the table, the guest walked away, and whatever happened next stayed invisible. Today we are launching Journeys by We Can It to change that.
The Journeys launch film: it was never a black box.
What is Journeys by We Can It?
Journeys is our own platform behind the QR code printed on every can we make. It turns a physical asset, the premium aluminum can in your guest's hand, into an immersive digital experience for your guests and a measurable one for your team. You design the can and the page it opens, map each can to a zone of your venue, and see every scan, opt-in and visit to your site while the event is still running.
In one sentence: Journeys gives the can a way to talk back.
Why branded physical marketing has been a black box
Physical marketing works. People remember what they held in their hands, and a cold, beautiful can at the right moment says more about a brand than another banner ever will. The problem has never been the impact. The problem has been proof.
When a brand or a sponsor asks what an activation delivered, the usual answers are photos, a guess and a recap deck. The questions that matter stay open:
- Who scanned? Which guests actually engaged, and how many?
- Where? Which part of the venue did the work: the entrance, the pool deck or the VIP lounge?
- Did it work? Did anyone continue to the website, the menu or the offer?
- Any leads? Did the event grow the list, or only the photo album?
- What do we show the sponsor? Is there a number to put in front of the partner who paid for the zone?
For most teams, the honest answer to all five has been the same: no idea. That is what we mean by a black box. The money goes in, the guests have a great time, and the evidence evaporates when the cans do.
Why private label water was out of reach for most brands
There was a second problem, and it came before anyone could even measure anything. Getting your own branded water was hard.
Let us be clear about one thing: we did not invent private label water. The category has existed for years. What held it back for most brands was the economics. Traditional runs were overpriced and came with minimum orders in the tens of thousands of units, which meant long lead times, big warehouse bills and a commitment only the largest players could make. A boutique hotel, a university department or a brand planning a single launch night was simply locked out.
That is the gap We Can It set out to close.
We are a young startup based in Miami, built AI-native from day one. Smart procurement, efficient distribution and data powered by AI let us run modern, cost-efficient processes, so we can deliver premium still, sparkling and alkaline water in a beautiful, QR-powered aluminum can without the old barriers:
- A real minimum, not a warehouse: orders start at 21 cases, which is 504 cans.
- Weeks, not months: production takes about 2 to 3 weeks from artwork approval.
- Transparent pricing: digital print, printed directly on the aluminum, runs $0.90 to $2.50 per can depending on volume.
- The QR code is included free on every can, digitally printed or labeled.
- Nationwide delivery from Miami, with freight billed at cost and no markup on logistics.
Lower barriers made branded cans possible for many more brands. Journeys is what makes them measurable.
How Journeys works: one scan, every zone, measured
Journeys follows the same four steps at a hotel, a concert, a campus or a trade show. Here is what happens from the moment a can is printed to the moment the report lands on your CEO's desk.
1. Design the can and the experience
You create the can wraps and the mobile pages they open. A welcome page, an offer, a menu, a schedule, a sponsor spotlight or an opt-in form. Each page can carry its own message, so the can at the spa can say something different from the can at the rooftop bar.
2. Map every can to a zone of your venue
Each can design is assigned to a zone: the entrance, the pool deck, the VIP lounge, the main stage, hole 17. That simple step is what turns a generic QR code into a location-aware one. Every scan now carries where the can was served, even if the guest scans it later from their room.
3. Guests scan, opt in and continue
One scan opens the experience. There is no app to download; guests just point their phone camera at the can. They can opt in or skip, then continue to your destination with UTM tags attached, so the visit shows up in the analytics your team already trusts. Personal details are only collected when a guest chooses to share them, and every opt-in belongs to your brand.
Scan. Opt in. Go.
4. Read the results while the event is live
Your team sees scans by zone and by hour, opt-ins and click-through to your site during the event, not three weeks after it. You can move stock to the zone that is performing, change the offer on a page that is not, and walk into the debrief with numbers instead of guesses.
In our demo workspace, that view shows 840 scans and an 18% opt-in rate, broken down by zone and sponsor. That is demo data, but it is exactly the view you get with your own cans.
Curious what guests actually see after they scan? Explore the digital experience or book a free demo and we will walk you through it on a real can.
Ask your AI how the campaign is doing
This is the part our team is most excited about. With the Journeys MCP, you can connect your workspace to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and ask about your campaign in plain language.
- "Which zone won Saturday?"
- "Give me the sponsor report for the VIP lounge."
- "Compare the main stage and the pool deck on opt-ins."
- "Export today's opt-ins as a CSV."
The answers come from the same analytics, reports and opt-ins as your Journeys workspace. There is no second dataset and no extra login. Your team, and your sponsors with their own access, can check performance from the AI tools they already use, from a laptop or a phone, while the event is still running.
Who Journeys is built for
We designed Journeys for three groups of people who all need the same thing from a branded can: proof that it worked.
Innovative marketing and procurement teams
Marketing teams want experiences customers remember. Procurement teams want them without overpaying. Journeys gives both what they need: premium branded cans from a 504-can minimum, the QR code included free, and one platform to design the guest experience and measure it. No separate app vendor, no separate analytics project.
Their CEOs
Leaders do not want a recap deck built on hope. They want reporting-ready results: how many guests engaged, where, what they did next and what it cost. Journeys turns an activation into a line in the report, with numbers that stand up in the boardroom.
Partners and sponsors
Sponsors want to know exactly what their presence delivered. With Journeys, a sponsor can join our clients' Journeys with their own zone, their own can and their own view that shows only their brand. That makes it easier to sell sponsorships, easier to renew them and easier to price them.
Where Journeys fits: events, hotels, campuses and more
If a can ends up in someone's hand, Journeys can measure what happens next. Teams are using branded cans with QR codes across:
- Events and sponsorships: give every sponsor a zone, a can and a report.
- Hotels and hospitality: turn in-room and poolside cans into menus, bookings and guest feedback.
- Universities and alumni: homecoming, reunions and campus events that grow the alumni list.
- Concerts and festivals: setlist alerts, merch drops and sponsor offers by stage.
- Venues and conferences: booth hospitality that books meetings and feeds your CRM.
- Golf and private clubs: hole-by-hole guidance and sponsored holes on the course.
- Retail and brand launches: launch nights and pop-ups that capture opt-ins, not only foot traffic.
Journeys vs a plain QR code on packaging
A QR code on its own is a link. It sends everyone to the same place and tells you how many people scanned, if that. Journeys is the system around the code.
- Location: a plain code cannot tell the pool deck from the entrance. Journeys maps each can to a zone.
- Experience: a plain code opens one page. Journeys opens the page you designed for that zone, that sponsor or that moment.
- Consent: a plain code has no opt-in step. Journeys adds one you control, and every opt-in belongs to your brand.
- Attribution: a plain code rarely passes clean data. Journeys sends guests on with UTM tags your analytics can read.
- Reporting: a plain code leaves you with a scan count. Journeys gives you live results by zone and hour, sponsor views and the Journeys MCP.
How to launch your first Journey
Getting started is simpler than most teams expect. Here is the path we walk every new brand through:
- Book a demo. We look at your venue or campaign and the goals behind it.
- Pick your zones. Most first Journeys use three to six zones.
- Design the cans and pages. One can design per zone, or one design with zone-specific pages.
- Place your order. From 21 cases, about 2 to 3 weeks from artwork approval, shipped from Miami.
- Go live and watch the results. Scans, opt-ins and visits by zone, during the event and after it.
Journeys pricing is covered in the demo, and the best value is the annual plan with unlimited brands and campaigns. You can estimate the can side of your order anytime with our instant quote calculator.
Frequently asked questions
What is Journeys by We Can It?
Journeys is the platform behind the QR code on every We Can It can. You design the can and the page it opens, map each can to a zone of your venue, and track scans, opt-ins and visits to your site in one workspace, live.
Do guests need to download an app to scan the can?
No. Guests point their phone camera at the QR code and a fast mobile page opens. They can opt in or skip and continue to your destination. Personal details are only collected when a guest chooses to share them.
Does the QR code cost extra?
No. The QR code is included at no extra cost on every can, whether it is digitally printed or labeled. You do not need Journeys to have your website linked to QR-powered cans; Journeys adds zones, custom experiences, opt-ins, analytics and sponsor reports.
How much do QR-powered cans cost?
Digital print cans, printed directly on the aluminum, run $0.90 to $2.50 per can depending on volume, with a minimum of 21 cases (504 cans). Journeys pricing is discussed in a short demo, and the best value is the annual plan with unlimited brands and campaigns.
Can sponsors see their own results?
Yes. Organizers see every scan, and each sponsor can get a view that shows only their own brand, zones and results.
Can I ask AI tools about my campaign?
Yes. With the Journeys MCP you can connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and ask in plain language, such as which zone had the most scans on Saturday, or export today's opt-ins as a CSV.
How fast can I launch a Journey?
Can production takes about 2 to 3 weeks from artwork approval, and we ship from Miami nationwide. Book a demo early and we will plan the zones and pages while your cans are produced.
It was never a black box
The can was always doing its job. Guests picked it up, held it, carried it through the venue and took it home. We just never gave it a way to talk back.
Journeys does. And because We Can It closed the price and minimum order gap first, it is available to far more brands than branded water ever was: hotels, universities, sponsors, launch teams and every marketing and procurement team that wants to prove what an experience delivered.
Turn every can into a measurable journey.
